If there’s something I’m nostalgic about, that’s probably the old packaging of PC Games… Fortunately for us, there’s this new company in town called “IndieBox“!
The concept is simple, subscribe and get an indie game (support!) by mail each month with tons for merchandise. Let’s take a closer look at the July issue.
I can still remember my first PC game in a box, it was Cannon Fodder. I remember it was close to 80$ at the time which was huge but the box… man, the box. I was just a kid and I remember it was heavy and packed with stuff inside (check out the amiga version below).
As a tribute to those nostalgic days (and to make an old geek like me quite happy), IndieBox has relaunched this concept… with an Indie twist.
It’s actually pretty simple – Subscribe online, choose the length of the subscription and voilà! Each month, you’ll get an awesome box with 1 indie game (packaged into a slick USB Cartridge) and tons of cool merchandise.
I personally chose the 3 month – it’s 15.99$ + Shipping. Pretty cheap considering the content you get… What exactly is that content? Glad you asked, I haven’t received mine yet but here’s the preview of the July edition that includes the game : Forced.
