So, as it turns out, NASA has released an incredible picture of the Andromeda galaxy on January 5.
It is by far the largest picture ever taken (by anyone, anywhere): it contains 1.5 billion pixels (69,536 x 22,230), takes up to 4.3 GB in disk space and is made up of 411 Hubble images which, combined, let you explore over 100 million stars. I don’t think even Mr. Kelvin could think of something cooler than this!
